Fees & Payments Policy

Users may be charged for using Koopo Online services.  This Fee & Payments Policy will explain these fees and how they are paid.  By registering for and using the services on Koopo Online, you agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of this policy, and all other policies and guidelines of Koopo Online, herein incorporated by reference. 

This policy will discuss the following types of fees:

  • Listing Fees;
  • Ad Fees;
  • Transaction Fees
  • Currency Conversion Fee

Listing Fee/Subscriptions:

User will pay a monthly or annual fee as determined by their subscription package pricing (Entrepreneur/Business/All Access).  This fee will be paid whether there are sales or not.  This fee will grant you access to our services and features for your online store and/or business profile.  The fee will be automatically charged to your specified account every month on the date you of original order unless you select the annual pay option, which will renew annually automatically.

Every paid subscription service is set to automatically renew.  You may cancel your subscription service at anytime.  Cancelling any paid service subscription will immediately restrict/limit access to any paid service features, products/services and other content offered by a user may not not be available on Koopo Online.  Koopo Online will keep your account settings and content for a minimum of 6 months while inactive.  After 6 months, Koopo Online may completely remove all your account files, products, posts and settings.

Free Trial
If you have been offered a free trial to our paid services (“Free Trial”), you may be required to: (a) select a desired subscription plan (“Subscription Plan”) and (b) provide valid credit card/debit card and billing information. Your credit/debit card will not be charged until the expiration of the Free Trial (if you don’t cancel before the end of the Free Trial). You can cancel at any time during the Free Trial from your dashboard. You may also send us an email at support@koopoonline.com. If you wish to cancel online, follow the instructions on the website to cancel your free trial immediately. It is your responsibility to timely cancel your Free Trial prior to the expiration of the term of the Free Trial to avoid any unwanted charges. Once your Free Trial is cancelled you will lose access to information regarding paid services and other features of the applicable Subscription Plan. If you don’t cancel prior to the end of the Free Trial term, we will automatically charge your debit/credit card for the first 30 days (if, for example, you are on a monthly Subscription Plan) or the first year (if you chose an annual Subscription Plan) or other applicable recurring period depending on the selected Subscription Plan (“Initial Plan Term”). We will continue to charge your debit/credit card at the beginning of the applicable renewal period following the Initial Plan Term unless you notify Koopo Online that you do not wish to renew prior to the end of the Initial Plan Term.

Ad Fee

Koopo Online offers additional advertising for select stores/businesses.  This feature allows sellers/businesses on Koopo Online to more aggressively market their products to more customers to increase their visibility and sales.   Advertising fees may vary based on availability.  For more information on advertising click here.

 Transaction Fees

All transactions on Koopo Online are done through Koopo Pay, powered by Stripe payment gateway.  Payment methods  coming soon; Google Wallet, ApplePay, and Crypto Currency.  In addition to the transaction fees charged by Stripe (2.9% plus  $0.30 per transaction), Koopo Online will charge additional transaction fees ranging from  3% to 10% (depending on subscription level) for every sale/transaction.  See pricing lists for details on fees.

No Refunds

You may cancel your subscription to paid services at any time and you accept that you will not receive a refund of pre-paid fees for such cancellation. In the event that Koopo Online suspends, limits, conditions, or terminates your access to the Services and/or your account due to your breach of Koopo Online Policies or any other agreement that you have with Koopo Online, you understand and accept that you will not receive a refund for any unused time with respect to fees that you have pre-paid for a subscription plan, product or service, and to the extent that you have not paid the applicable fees, you will remain liable to pay Koopo Online the entire fees due for the subscription, product or service, as applicable.

Currency Conversion

The currency on Koopo Online is US Dollars.  When listing products please set price in US Dollars.  Koopo Online does not convert currencies.  If your bank is in a foreign country you will incur currency conversion expenses.  Please check the currency exchange rates and conversion fees at your bank and at

l and Stripe.

Fee Avoidance

 Any action by a seller/business owner to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Koopo Online. This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase a product in your store through another venue. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers/business owners may not charge excessive shipping fees. Sellers/business owners may not alter the Product’s price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding transaction fees, misrepresent the location, or use another user’s account without permission.

Seller/business owner Payment Accounts

 Sellers/business owners must have or create an accounts with Stripe. This account is where money generated from Koopo Online sales are deposited.  Seller/business owner accounts must be linked to Koopo Online.  For instructions on how to do this please see our guide for account setup.

All seller/business owner proceeds will be paid through Stripe accounts directly.  Once those funds hit your Stripe account you may transfer those funds to your bank account that is linked to Stripe account.  For more details, see our Stripe Guide.


 Sellers/business owners are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through KoopoOnline services.

If you sell physical goods on KoopoOnline, we automatically will calculate and add tax when applicable.  Online sales are taxed based off of nexus.  KoopoOnline automates this process.  KoopoOnline also gives are sellers/business owners the option exclude their products from being taxed.

If you sell physical goods on KoopoOnline and reside outside of the US and Canada, we automatically will calculate and add tax when applicable., including VAT.

VAT stands for value-added tax. It’s a tax based on the consumption of goods and services that are commonly found in the EU and select other regions of the world.

VAT is also known as GST in New Zealand.

VAT may be charged to buyers on their purchases as well as to eligible sellers/business owners on their paid seller/business owner fees.

For information on VAT requirements in your location, please consult your local tax authority or a licensed professional.

If you are a VAT registered seller, you may be required to charge VAT on the products that you sell on KoopoOnline.

For EU countries, the applicable VAT rate depends on two things:

  • the nature of what is for sale and
  • the country in which the supply of goods and services is taxable with VAT

When supplying goods and services in the EU, the applicable VAT rates can be checked on the European Commission’s website.

Please remember that Koopo Online fees do not include any withholding taxes that might apply in your home country. You are required to pay Koopo Online the full amount of our fees and may not deduct any applicable withholding taxes from that amount.
