Industrial Electrician I

Keep the coke-making process running at DTE’s Zug Island plant in River Rouge as an Industrial Electrician I. You’ll maintain operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools, operate equipment during repairs, take part in safety activities, and help keep the plant environmentally compliant. The role sits in a Pay-for-Skill program with clear advancement from Electrician I to III through written and hands-on proficiency tests. Pay is $36.15–$38.83/hour, plus a $2,500 signing bonus (another $2,500 after the 1,040-hour probationary period) and quarterly bonuses of up to $7,500/year tied to plant quality and production. Expect a 12-hour rotating shift, 14 of every 28 days with seven consecutive days off in each rotation. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of relevant electrical experience, and must pass a written electrical-knowledge test.
