Automation Engineer

Detroit Public Schools Community District is hiring an Automation Engineer to build automation solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform — PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI — that cut manual work across district operations. You’ll design enterprise-level apps, integrations, and workflows spanning Microsoft 365, PeopleSoft, Active Directory, and student information systems, plus train staff and document the tools you build. The salary range is $85,225–$119,315 with a bachelor’s in IT, computer science, or engineering (or equivalent experience) and three-plus years in automation or app development required. This hybrid role is eligible for up to two days of telecommuting per week; PowerShell/Python scripting and REST API experience are expected.
