Orthopedic Tech (Full Time, Days)

Work days in the orthopedic cast room and operating room at Nicklaus Children’s in Miami, applying, adjusting, and removing casts and orthopedic devices on upper and lower extremities — including clubfoot, shoulder spica, and hip spica casts. You’ll assist physicians with patient care activities, support surgeons in the OR, handle aseptic dressing changes and suture/staple removal, set up surgical fields, manage skin and skeletal traction, and enter documentation and charges. Candidates need prior orthopedic-technician experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical office, or completion of a Technical Orthopedic Technologist program; NAOT certification and CPR HeartSaver are highly preferred.
